Winning 4th of July Trivia

We joined 2 smart Americans and together the 4 of us won the U.S. Trivia tonight. I guessed that they ring the Liberty bell 13 times ( I assume once for each original colony) on the 4th of July. As it is cracked, I assume also that they just lightly ring it with a small mallet. I didn’t know that the Declaration of Independence was first published by the Philadelphia Evening Post. Nor did I know that Americans spend 2.1 billion dollars on fireworks every 4th….or that Calvin Coolidge was born on the 4th of July.

We are just now leaving Aqaba, it’s 11pm here….once through the straight, we will head north and be in the Suez Canal tomorrow at 5pm our time. I think we’re 8 hours ahead of Eastern daylight time.
