Tohu, the God of Tattoo

I wanted to say a word, ok maybe a paragraph, about tattoos. The word tattoo has its origins in French Polynesia from the legend of Tohu, the god of tattoo. Whom it is said, painted the oceans’ fish vivid colors. Tattoos continue to represent ceremonial symbols of beauty across the Polynesian culture.

Who remembers “The Illustrated Man” by Ray Bradbury? It was a science fiction story where the main character is a guy who had tattoos which all represented actual events. Some were past and some were future, if I remember correctly.
