There’s no place like home

We arrived early this morning. That would be Thursday. I got to bed at 5 am. We woke up at noon. We were sleeping in the guest room because of no air in our room and it gets a lot of light or who knows how long we would have slept. So today we “fixed the AC”. It just needed a switch flipped. We moved the cabinet back into its place. The guys had moved it to deal with the water leak. We still have to deal with replacing the line, but that will be awhile and I couldn’t stand having my dining room disrupted. We went through 4 months of mail. Dealt with bills and telephone calls. We unpacked, unplugged the cars from their trickle chargers and they’re running fine! Other than the one water leak with the ice maker, the house did fine. Don and Anna took care of it all and their help was so appreciated. She even spent time in my kitchen cleaning and shining the kitchen cabinets! Anna had left breakfast food and lunch meat. So we were good. God bless her, she called me and asked if I’d been to the grocery. I had not so she brought over chicken enchilada casserole for dinner. There’s enough that I can wait until Saturday to go to Publix if I want! Yippee Tomorrow night we’re having a movie night at Don and Vicki’s. Back to old friends and old routines. it’s midnight now. I’m going to do my wordle and then probably go to bed. Wasn’t this an exciting post? Here are a few pictures to liven it up.

We traveled well over 52,000 miles. We checked off 8 new countries. I think we’re at 80 now. We rode in trains. subways, planes, cars, buses, boats and tut tuts. We met great people who will be friends until we die! I’m so glad we did this trip. We are still healthy enough to walk and explore. Although we can tell a difference in our age.

I know this is a dumb picture. But I got so much enjoyment from this wall. When we go to the Far East in March, I hope to get a nice map and do it again. If you look closely at the map, you can see the lines I drew with my grease pencil. The red was the flight, the black is the cruise. Oh BTW, I brought home 32 new magnets! When they’re up, I’ll show them to you.

Our medallions. These open our cabin door. Charge stuff to our room, allow Roscoe or waiters to fine me😂. and check us in and out off the boat! Ours was silver when we started, but now we’re “elite” status. Which means we have over 150 nights on Princess. On the boat,1/2 of the guests were elite. You can wear them on a lanyard, but on our cruise last year, we bought reusable bracelets.

Rapa Nui, probably my favorite memory. I will conclude tomorrow after I wash all the laundry….UGH, but I’ve had so much fun with this, I may not end.
