Yesterday, we went to a place called Sky Lagoon. It was a “spa” in Reykjavik. I had booked this event before we left home. Actually, I booked it in January. Iceland is very expensive and our trip o Sky Lagoon was no exception. However we had a great day and it was well worth the cost. Last year we went to The Secret Lagoon so this year we tried somewhere different.

Our ship docked at noon and our entry time was 1400 (2pm). We got a taxi for 4500K or about $30 and arrived at 1:35. We were permitted to enter early. So after showering and storing our clothes, in we went.

The remainder of our trivia team had booked for 2:30, they ended up coming a half hour early too. We had a great time. We spent about 3 hours in the heated water. We had the 7 step spa experience. We also had bought the date night package so we had one drink, and a snack in the cafe. We were there about 3 and a half hours. The sun was shining and it was a fun adventure. We took a taxi back to the ship.

I was in for the night! We didn’t even go to dinner, we were so full from the “snack”. Well, ok, maybe Roscoe went and brought a hamburger and fries to the room, but that’s just a snack. If you come to Reykjavik, I highly recommend coming to the Sky Lagoon.

it was a beautiful sunset, at 10:32. We hoped to see the Aurora Borealis but we’re foiled again….

Our food in the bar/cafe. Gravlox (salmon) pate, cake, bread and sauces. We ate it all.
