RIP JIMMY BUFFETT “Some of it’s magic, some of it’s tragic, but I had a good life all the way!”

September 2, 2023. Roscoe and I awakened this morning to the news that Jimmy had passed away yesterday. We are truly devastated. We feel like we’ve lost a dear friend and we have. I remember dancing on a tabletop in the late 70’s to Why Don’t We Get Drunk”. And I remember Don announcing to my mother that that was my favorite song! 😂. My dear Kayla sent us condolences this morning. And my favorite son, Branden, sent us the news. I don’t know how many times we saw Jimmy, but the last time was in Tampa in 2012. We met Tom Cochran, who resided in Lakeland and helped Jimmy write Fins. He said Jimmy was so generous that he gave Tom 20% of the royalty rights just for contributing one line. To think that we can never go to see him again, is just sad!
