Rain and Rain

We “made memories” today in San Francisco. After breakfast at the Blue Mermaid, we downloaded a walk on the iPhone of Fisherman’s Wharf. It was raining when we left to walk there. The rain was supposed to stop, but alas, it did not. We spent 3 hours in the rain, we were absolutely soaked. Our clothes and my leather shoes, are hopefully drying out. We came back to the hotel and redressed. We then walked to Ghirardelli Square, which is maybe 5 minutes from us and had lunch. Roscoe had a mini hot fudge sundae. Later after Monday night football,

Irish coffee….delicious.

at the suggestion of his high school friend, Rosemary, we went to the Buena Vista, or BV and had clam chowder and shared a Reuben. The BV is famous as the place where Irish coffee was introduced to the US. It was delicious. So we shared one of those too. To those of of you who aren’t familiar with our jargon, whenever things don’t go to plan, or we have mini disasters, we say that we’re “making memories”. We’ve learned that not everyday traveling is wonderful and some days you have to just make the best of it!
