Maria and Bob and brunch

We had Sunday Brunch today with a couple, Maria and Bob. Bob is an American and Maria, his wife, is Australian. We were seated with them at a table for 4. They already had food, so we went to get ours. It was a lovely Sunday buffet. Everything you could ever want. I learned later in the conversation, that we had told them we were from Florida, so Maria told Bob, who is from California, and a Berkeley graduate, that as we were most likely Republicans, he could not discuss politics. While I figured that anyone who is a graduate of UC @ Berkeley is a liberal, so we were safe. As it turned out, I was right, we were able to discuss politics and other topic, being on the same page. They were very enjoyable to be around and we exchanged information. We’re going to trade books. Hope to see them later. This is our second sea day. I love sea days. I didn’t get out in the sun today as I got pretty red yesterday. We won at trivia but lost the tie breaker.

The question was, how fast was the first automobile driver going when he got a ticket for speeding! The answer is he was going 8 mph in a 2 mph zone.

We have Progressive trivia at 4 and dinner around 5:30. Then we go to our room and watch Murdock mysteries. We’re so boring! But I love the routine. I’m in the International Cafe. Sammy is waving to me, Stefan is telling me about the importance of activity…while he walks, and Alvin waved and called me by name when I went by. I swear, it’s an entire community we’ve created. I will so miss them all. Only 30 days to go before we get off. Have a great Sunday! We will Be in Panama Canal on the 22nd and in Manta , Ecuador on the 24th. In the meantime….ssh, it’s Gary’s birthday on the 23rd. So a celebration is coming n
