INTO THE BREACH!

Two days ago, Roscoe and I were sitting in a public area, minding our own business. A “Karen” from Connecticut and her husband were sitting next to us. We were discussing Avello, the airplane that flies from Lakeland now. She then goes into a rant about NYC and how, because he questions immigration, the mayor has been targeted by Biden. I let that slide and then DEI, comes up. THEN….she says, what a wonderful governor we have in DESANTIS. Well, you who know me, I cant let that slide…so off we go. But here’s the good part, while I’m telling her what an ass he is; A woman, Donna, Sitting behind me, chimes up. DESANTIS is a horrible person she says. He’s a horrible person, banning books, abortion, etc. finally, Karen, who has no response, leaves and Donna looks at me and says….I couldn’t let you go into the breach alone! I love this woman!

The Rotterdam is a nice ship. It’s only 5 years old so sparkles. We have met nice people. We had breakfast with a couple today who are Dutch. They’re celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. We’re discussing grandkids and she says, we have 4 but no greats yet. One is “how do you say it? A lesbian and one is Gay. So no greats from them. Then she says….everyone has a right to be who they are! 83 and a gem!

We were in Honfleur yesterday. What a beautiful French village. Charm everywhere you looked. I bought a sweater and a jacket from Sophie. She moved here after Covid. She was living in St. Martin. Today we’re in Weymouth. An English town on the coast. Very cute. Tomorrow we’re in Brest. It is another Normandie, coastal town. Then 6 days on the ocean. Kayla and Brooke are sending us pictures of the greats. It’s very strange to love children whom you don’t expect to see become adults….enough of that. I would like to show you some pics of Honfleur and Weymouth but they haven’t come through yet. As you know, Roscoe takes the pics. Today in Weymouth, we sat on a bench and he had a warm from the shop, pastie, for lunch. We thought of Don and Vicki who taught us all about pasties. So since I don’t have pics of that, here are Riley and Wade for your viewing pleasure!
